Cairo, April 1, 2024: In celebration of Ramadan this year, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt (ADIB-Egypt) has launched the " الخير×ADIB" campaign to support various programs and events during the holy month. The aim is to continue the bank's charitable work and bolster its social responsibility in Egypt.
As part of the Ramadan campaign, the bank sponsored the daily Iftar cannon commercial on the Holy Quran radio station and several TV channels, including Egypt’s Channel One. The bank also sponsored the program "Maa Al Sa’emeen" on the Holy Quran radio station, along with the program's daily competition offering a prize of EGP 5,000 and a grand prize at the end of Ramadan (Umrah trip).
Furthermore, the bank sponsored the program "Gabr Al Khawater," presented by Ahmed Raafat on Facebook and YouTube. The program offers cash prizes to support the needy and bring joy to their hearts.
The "الخير×ADIB" campaign is an extension of ADIB-Egypt's charitable work through the ADIB Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the bank's efforts in social responsibility. The foundation aims to broaden its community and development projects and initiatives to serve the society it operates in. It seeks to deliver a variety of charitable initiatives and support programs targeting all age groups from 16 to 70 years, focusing on key sectors such as health, education, and women and youth empowerment, in collaboration with government bodies and non-governmental organizations.
Marwa Mourad, CEO of ADIB-Egypt Charitable Foundation, emphasized that "the foundation's areas of support cover education, capacity building, training, healthcare, support for public hospitals, environmental conservation, and empowerment of single mothers.
Additionally, it focuses on the Sharia-compliant allocation of Zakat to those most in need, and directs ongoing charity to vulnerable groups. The proceeds from charitable endowments are allocated across various sectors to ensure the sustainability and continuity of the foundation's aid efforts and to foster a more cohesive society."
